IIM Tiruchirappalli’s Post Graduate Programme in Management has been acknowledged as incorporating academic courses (at least 70 per cent) as per the CFA Programme Candidate Body of Knowledge
The CFA has awarded the Institute University Recognition Programme to the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Tiruchirappalli. IIM Trichy can now award scholarships to four PGPM students to take up the CFA programme every year. IIM Trichy’s Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) has been acknowledged as incorporating academic courses (at least 70 per cent) as per the CFA Programme Candidate Body of Knowledge. It also places emphasis on the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice within the programme.
Prafulla Agnihotri, IIM-T Director told a daily, “Being the first IIM to get entry into the CFA University Recognition Program underlines our focus on maintaining practical relevance in our finance curriculum and demonstrates the commitment of the faculty at IIM Trichy towards sustained excellence.”
It is can now be ascertained through the entry into the CFA Institute University Recognition Programme that the IIM Trichy PGPM curriculum is in sync with global professional practices. Vidhu Shekhar, Country Head - India, at CFA Institute told the media, "By becoming a part of this Programme, IIM Trichy has exhibited commitment to building a talent pool of competent young professionals for the investment industry.”
