Over 28 modules on topics such as MS Office, PowerPoint will be available free of charge
Students at the National PG College (NGPC) Lucknow, will soon have access to the same study material that is used at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay). Over 28 computer learning modules that are used at IIT Bombay will be available online to the students from next week onwards.
Speaking to the media SP Singh, Principal, NGPC stated, The link of the 'Spoken tutorials' developed by IIT Bombay will be made available on the college's official website. From registration to examination, everything will be online. The course will be certified by IIT Bombay." Students at NGPC will now be able to sign up for the online courses which in turn might increase the job opportunities available to them. Singh added that the online courses would be available to the student free of any charge.
The computer modules include programmes such as MS Office, PowerPoint, C++. Speaking to a national daily a student added, "Our seniors are pursuing tally and computer basic courses, the spoken tutorials will help us to pursue courses online. It would be time-saving as we don't have to rush from college to computer coaching."
