The initiative will give students access to various softwares for free and the freedom to learn them through audio-visual tutorials
The Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) has tied up with the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. This initiative will give students access to various softwares for free and the freedom to learn them through audio-visual tutorials.
They will also be allowed to use a website IIT-B has developed that is a hub of tutorial classes, original software of programming, animation, graphics, EDA (electronic design automation) tools, computational software, utility software, etc. Users can select and download the software, install it and start practicing with help from the audio-visual tutorials on the website. Some of the free software on the website are costly and not available in all technical institutions. Access to these soft-wares will help students in remote areas that lack infrastructure.
