The event, which would be called TEDx-IIM-Ranchi, will witness a total of 13 renowned dignitaries from diverse fields discussing the evolving designs in the arena of technical education.
For the first time, Indian Institute of Management- Ranchi, would host the prestigious TED (Technology Education and Design) conference on February 19. The event, which would be called TEDx-IIM-Ranchi, will witness a total of 13 renowned dignitaries from diverse fields discussing the evolving designs in the arena of technical education.
The participants include popular names from the entertainment industry like Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy, the director of The Dewarists, a show on Star One. Nalin Kohli, the national convenor of the BJPs All-India Media Cell, would also be one of the participants.
Event manager of the TED conference, Ajay Patel said, TEDx is an event that brings people together. This would probably be the first conference to be held on such a large scale in Ranchi. The two-day event would be inaugurated on February 18 and the main event would take place on February 19.
The programme would be divided into three sessions. Four speakers will participate in each session and each of them would get a maximum of 18 minutes to speak. In addition to this, the programme would also include performances by renowned musicians to add a bit of entertainment quotient to the entire event.
TED is an internationally acclaimed event that was first hosted in California in 1984 as an effort to bring thinkers and doers together. It is designed to give communities, organisations and individuals an opportunity to stimulate dialogue and get to know about new happenings in the field of technology, entertainment and design.
