Apollo Group to enter in edu market with HT Media

The centre will offer business-related courses targeting traditional students and working adults from 2013


Apollo Group has made foray in Indian educational market with HT Media Limited under a joint venture project. Duo will jointly launch a network of learning centres across the country to offer business-related courses.
Apollo’s subsidiary - Apollo Global would also offer online courses targeting traditional students and working adults from 2013.
It may be mentioned here that Apollo Group owns and operates four higher-learning institutions - the University of Phoenix, Western International University, Axia College, College for Financial Planning, Institute for Professional Development.
Besides this, HT Media publishes the Hindustan Times, Hindustan and Mint newspapers and operates four radio stations. It entered the education space in 2010 with the launch of tuition centres called Studymate.
