Assam varsity to work with Jagannath University

Assam Central University has entered into tie-up with Bangladesh based Jagannath University for encouraging research work.


Assam Central University has entered into tie-up with Bangladesh based Jagannath University for encouraging research work. In this connection, duo universities have  signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
The agreement was signed by Vice-chancellor of Assam University- Tapodhar Bhattacharjee and Vice-chancellor of Jagannath University- Mesbahuddin Ahmed. According to plan, duo universities would conduct various programmes on applied research, education, training and technology and information transfer.
Vice-chancellor of AU- Tapodhar Bhattacharjee said that the collaboration between the two universities would promote educational activities in various streams including science, arts, business, social science, law and information technology. Jagannath University is a government-financed public university in Sadarghat, Dhaka the capital of Bangladesh. It has 28 departments under four faculties. Every department follows the semester system. As now, around 350 teachers are engaged in delivering education to around 25,000 students.
