Surat's first private university, Auro, has entered into a technical support agreement with the University of South Carolina (USC), USA. The objective of the agreement is to gain technical expertise and support in developing the course curriculum and delivering a programme of international standards in India.
Auro University is one of the few universities in India that will have a full credit transfer policy. Eligible undergraduate students, after completing two years at Auro, can transfer to USC to complete the last two years of their studies. Initially, the university will offer a full-time 2-year MBA course along with a 3-year BBA programme (4-year BBA programme with exchange) and a 4-year BSc degree in Hospitality Management.
