Benchmark And Improve Your Institution

The recent controversies about the quality of education delivered at many private universities and colleges has focused intense public attention and debate on the state of infrastructure, faculty quality and program delivery at higher education institutions.

In December last year the Union government informed Parliament that accreditation would be made mandatory for all institutions, whether or not they receive government grants. A bill on accreditation of higher education institutions will be soon tabled in the Parliament. The objective of the bill is to enforce minimum standards in higher education, and ensure compliance to norms through regular monitoring. When this bill is passed into law, all professional educational institutions will need to get themselves accredited—and maintain their accreditation.

The problem is that there is not enough information on how to prepare for the accreditation process and comply with the prescribed standards. To help administrators and decision makers understand the processes involved in accreditation, EDU is organizing a full-day workshop, led by renowned experts.

This workshop will enable participants understand and evaluate issues like:

What is the objective of accreditation?
Which accreditations are relevant for my institution?
What are the criteria for evaluation used by various accreditation bodies?
How are the accreditation assessments conducted? How should I prepare?
What technology solutions can help meet, and maintain, accreditation norms?
How can I set up systems and processes to maintain my accreditation?
