Bihar government is planning to set up a medical college at Mairwa in Siwan. In this connection, the chief minister of state- Nitish Kumar has offered the Mauritius government a proposal to set up college.
State Health minister Ashwani Kumar Choubey said that department had initiated with forwarding a formal letter to Mauritius Art and Culture minister Mookhesswar Choonee. In this letter, Bihar government has asked consent of Mauritius prime minister for setting up the medical college.
According to plan, medical college is proposed to be established in the name of former India president Rajendra Prasad and Seewoo Sagur Ram Ghoolam, known as the father of Mauritius. Choubey said, “the Mauritius delegation has also shown their interest in the ambitious project and assured to reply soon.”
