Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani has entered into an agreement with a Public sector unit- Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL) for sharing academic and research interaction. In this connection, The Vice-Chancellor of BITS Bijendra Nath Jain and the Executive Director of Bharat Dynamics- NK Raju signed a MoU.

During this five year agreement, the university will enrich academic and research interaction with public sector unit. The agreement envisages engaging in collaborative research in areas like digital image processing, embedded systems, information security and management, design and manufacturing engineering and allied fields.

BDL will also provide support to create Centre of Excellence in BITS's Hyderabad campus. It would design and operate educational programmes to meet the learning and development needs of BDL through its Work Integrated Learning Programme (WILP).

Birla Institute of Technology and Science is a private university in Pilani, Rajasthan. The university consists of 15 academic departments with a focus on education in engineering and the sciences.
