Capt Mukesh Baveja appointed VC of Indian Maritime University

Capt Baveja was the head of Indian National Base Centre, Sea Farers Mumbai.
Capt Mukesh Baveja has been appointed as Vice Chancellor of Indian Maritime University. He succeeds KM Vijayan, who was the first Vice Chancellor of the University.
Capt Baveja was the head of Indian National Base Centre, Sea Farers Mumbai. He also holds the position of Director in-charge, IMU Kandla Port complex. After this appointment, he would hold additional charge in the both the posts.
It may be mentioned here that the Indian Maritime University is located in Utthandi in Chennai with campuses at Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Visakhapatnam and Cochin. The Indian Maritime University, being the first of its kind in the country is catering to the educational requirement of the maritime fraternity.
