CNBC-TV18's A-List of B-schools: IIM A Tops B-school List

Besides the IIMs, MDI, XLRI, NITIE and FMS were also listed as the leaders in management education in India


IIM Ahmedbad Continues to be the Leader in CNBC-TV18 released 'The A-List of B-schools rankings 2011' Thursday. Indian Institute of Management (IIM) at Ahmedabad leads the rankings and continues to be the benchmark of management education in India.

The other IIMs at Bangalore, Calcutta and Lucknow followed. Management Development Institute, Gurgaon; Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur; National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai and Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi; occupied the next four positions.

Amongst the private management schools, XLRI topped the list with S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, and Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies at Mumbai following it.

The evaluation was made against five parameters namely intellectual capital, placement performance, infrastructure and facilities, industry interface and international linkages. The rankings have been developed using a detailed dual methodology that surveyed key stakeholders in management education including B-schools, faculty and recruiters.
