Countdown for 99th Indian Science Congress begins

The Indian Science Congress will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.


The 99th Indian Science Congress will start from 3-7 January, 2012, at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University, Bhubaneswar. It would be organized by the Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA), Kolkata, National Institute of Science Education(NISER) and Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University.
The Congress would be inaugurated by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. Renowned foreign Academies and Noble Laureates will deliver lectures during the five-day congress.
The Focal Theme of the 99th Congress is "Science and Technology for Inclusive Innovation: Role of Women". The Congress will discuss ways to promote innovation driven research and development of appropriate technologies to ensure that the diverse population with diverse needs that forms the fabric of India is richly benefited by Science and Technology.
