Dainik Bhaskar to Organise National Education Summit on June 11

The summit will formulate solutions to make management education effective in India


Dainik Bhaskar Group will be organising National Education Summit India 2011 at New Delhi on June 11 this year. The meeting aims at imparting quality education to B-school students in India. Kapil Sibal, Union Minister, Ministry of HRD, Government of India will be the Chief Guest.

The summit is conceptualised by the National Government Vertical team at Dainik Bhaskar Group. Jaideep Dhagat, Senior General Manager and Business Head, National Government Vertical, Dainik Bhaskar Group said, “The world is changing at an enormous pace today. Education forms the rudimentary basis to provide for the skill and knowledge that students will need to shape the course of their future. The level of higher education in India needs a massive facelift today as professional institutes are not able to deliver what they promise. With a bevy of second and third rung B-schools coming up in urban and rural India, quality is often compromised for quantity. Dainik Bhaskar Group is organising this summit to address this issue. Through this, the group aims to bridge the quality gap that prevails in management education today.”

The agenda of the summit has been finalised in an Advisory Board meeting recently held at New Delhi. The members were Dr Narendra Jadhav, Member Planning Commission, Government of India, Member National Advisory Council, Government of India – Chairman, Advisory Board, Dr S.S Mantha, Chairman AICTE, Niraj Prakash, Director – Public Sector Marketing, Microsoft India, Dr Devi Singh, Director, IIM Lucknow, Ajit K. Motwani, Educational Consultant and Advisor, Jaideep Dhagat, Senior General Manager and National Head, Government Business, Dainik Bhaskar Group, Sanjeev Kotnala, Vice President – Brand Communication, Dainik Bhaskar Group, Chander Kant Verma, CEO, Cerebral Business Research.

“The summit will start at 9.30 am and end at 6 pm. Eminent visionaries who have helped change the course of the way education is being imparted in leading B-Schools worldwide will talk about the lack of quality education in tier II and III B-schools. The lacunae and shortcomings will be addressed at a level platform to come up with tough decisions and recommendations,” concluded Jaideep Dhagat.
