Dr Kamlesh appointed as VC of Institute of Teachers' Education

Indian Institute of Teachers' Education is set up two years ago and started functioning last year.


 

Former vice chancellor of Saurashtra University, Dr Kamlesh Joshipura, has been appointed as the first vice chancellor of Indian Institute of Teachers' Education. The institute is known as Teachers' University.
The institute was set up two years ago and started functioning last year. "It's a great responsibility and my focus will be to get national and international recognition for the institute," Joshipura said.
The Indian Institute of Teacher Education Act is established in Gujarat. It is aims at providing Four-Year Integrated course for all those who have qualified in the 12th year school program of any recognized Board or University. The candidates who successfully complete Four-year course will be awarded the degree of (B.A./ B.sc/ ) B.Ed., Students will be eligible for appointment in the schools in the country.
