Great Lakes Institute of Management will soon be setting up a branch at Gurgaon. The campus will offer programmes for working professionals as well as the full-time flagship one-year PGPM that is ranked amongst the best in the country.

Great Lakes Chennai has the only LEED "Platinum" rated GREEN campus in India that has been set up with an investment of around Rs 100 crores. The Gurgaon campus would be set up with a similar amount of investment in the next two years.

Dr Bala V Balachandran, Founder and Dean, Great Lakes, at the announcement of the launch of Great Lakes programmes at Gurgaon campus in tie-up with Institute of Energy Management and Research, said, "With this launch of our programmes in Delhi NCR, we wish to bring the excellence in management education developed in Chennai over the past eight years closer to students and corporations in Delhi NCR."

The programmes for working professionals include the two-year Post Graduate Working Professional Program in Management (PGWPM) weekend programme that has been successfully running at Great Lakes Chennai campus and the new PGWPM (Energy), an energy sector focused weekend programme for working professionals.

The PGWPM, one of the key offerings of Great Lakes for executive management education, is a two-year programme with classes held on alternate weekends with similar courses and credits as the flagship PGPM programme of Great Lakes. It was launched in Chennai two years back and has helped many working professionals upgrade their business skills.

The Post Graduate Working Professionals in Management (Energy) is a weekend programme designed for industry professionals in the energy sector. It is the weekend version of the full time PGPM (Energy) programme and follows the same two-year alternate weekend format.

The new campus will start the programmes from January 2012 for industry professionals with a minimum of two years of experience. The fee is Rs 6 lakhs and admissions will start from the first week of October 2011.

In addition to the working professional management programmes, the flagship one-year full-time Great Lakes PGPM programme will also be launched in Delhi NCR in the near future.
