The conference will provide an opportunity to India’s B-schools to exchange their knowledge on globalising management education

The Indian Institutes of Management at Calcutta and Ahmedabad will be jointly hosting a conference on Management Education: Meeting the Challenges of Globalisation at IIM Calcutta campus on October 14-15, 2011.

The conference will examine the manner in which management education is being imparted in India. The objectives of the conference is to disseminate the outputs widely and start a national debate on what needs to be done to revamp management education and make it more relevant and responsive to the emerging needs of the nation. The discussions would be led by faculty teams from both the institutes as well as faculty from US business schools.

The first conference in this series was held at IIM A campus in July where leaders discussed various facets of management education to make it more relevant to the needs of emerging economies.

The conference will provide an opportunity to the faculty, deans and directors of business schools in India to exchange their knowledge and experience about globalising MBA education in their schools.
