The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) has launched its website in Hindi, the official language of the Government of India, as a part of the ongoing celebration of the Hindi Fortnight (Hindi Pakhvada from 14 to 29 September, 2011).
Each year the fortnight is observed for implementation of the Official Language Policy of the Government of India.
Professor BH Jajoo, Dean, IIM-A, unveiled the Hindi website recently at the institute’s campus. At the occasion, Professor Anand Kumar Jaiswal, Chairperson of Official Language Implementation Committee, said IIM-A has become the first management institute in India to officially launch its website in Hindi language.
It is expected that with the launch of the Hindi website, more people will have access to the information on IIM-A’s programmes and activities.
The other events organised as part of the Hindi fortnight included book exhibition, essay writing, poem recitation, vocabulary, debate and others in Hindi.
