Indian Institute of Management, Shillong has entered into an agreement with the Ocean University of China to start a new global one-year Post Graduate International Business programme. The new programme will start from next April.

According to authorities, the programme will be of eleven months and the first five months will be in India and the next six months in China with internship in Asian companies. Applicants must have work pre-requisite of a minimum of two years in a company with admission through Group Discussion and interview.

The director of IIM (S) Prof Ashoke K Dutta said, ''We have already collaborated with China on different levels with senior managers visiting the country to study its success story. The PG programme will help us to study the secret of Chinese success in the global economy.”

The Ocean University of China, located in Qingdao, is one of the key comprehensive universities under the direct jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It delivers education in science, engineering, agronomy (fishery), economics, literature, medical science (pharmaceutics), philosophy and law streams.
