IITs Admission Gaffe

IIT Is Facing Flak Over Their Admission Errors

Due to a serious judgement error by the IITs, 52 student who had cleared the IIT-JEE, and had been assured seats at IIT, were told a day before their admission that their seats had been cancelled. The students were planning to study architecture and design courses.

This error has proved to be a major setback for the students as they are now unable to opt for engineering courses at other institutes. The students may go to court to fight against the IITs decision to cancel their seats. The IITs on the other hand, claim that this move was taken because the students had not cleared the separate Architecture/Design Aptitude Test.

The 52 students are not willing to wait for the second round of admission counselling and plan to approach the Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Kapil Sibal.
