Madras University offers Scholarships to Science students

The scholarship will be provided to 100 students under Innovation in Science pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) programme


Madras University has offered scholarships of Rs 10 lakh for young research scholars in science. The scholarship will be provided to 100 students under Innovation in Science pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) programme launched by the department of Science and Technology.
The vice-chancellor of Madras University- Col Dr G Thiruvasagam said, “The University would offer scholarships worth 10 lakh to students who wish to take up research in science. It has also decided to felicitate around 100 talented students under this programme.”
It may be noted here that "Innovation of Science Pursuit for Inspire Research (INSPIRE)" is one such innovative initiative of the Department of Science & Technology to attract talent towards science.
