Microsoft launches ‘Facebook’ for teachers

It has more than four million members from 107 countries


In a bid to promote networking among teaching community, IT giant Microsoft India has launched a dedicated website - www.innovativeteachers.com for teachers. The new website is like social networking site- ‘Facebook’ but with more sharing of the best practices. With more than four million members from 107 countries, this is the largest educator's network in the world.
The website www.innovativeteachers.com will also provide teachers collaboration opportunities with peers as well as lesson plan resources, access to technology tools, professional development trainings and much more.
The aim behind designing this exclusive website is to connect teaching fraternity with each other so that they could share their valuable experiences and innovative ideas. The website is expected to bring teachers of 107 countries on one platform.
Launching the website, the Microsoft India, Director (education)- Irina Ghose said, “We hope that this website will be helpful to provide an unique platform to the teaching community.”
