The Ministry of Information Technology and Communications has invited Professor Ram Achar


The Ministry of Information Technology and Communications has invited Professor Ram Achar to deliver a series of lectures at Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs'). Prof Achar a professor in the Department of Electronics at Carleton University has done a tremendous work in the field of research.
His research interest concerns design automation of electronic circuits. He mainly focuses on interactive design techniques for large high-speed systems with applications in shorter design cycles, reduced time-to-market and better quality electronic systems.
Prof Achar will visit with faculty and students of Carleton University while building strategic ties for future research and education partnerships. Ram Achar said, “I am pleased to see the recognition of the research done at Carleton by the premier institution.”
Talking about his visit to India, he said, “This is a strong endorsement of the objectives of Carleton’s Canada-India Center for collaboration between top research institutions in India and Canada.” He adds, “The series of lectures will spread the word about Carleton research and help to attract top graduate-level talent.”
It may be mentioned here that Canada and India share a strong commitment to education, the environment, health and science. To meet out the goals for mutual desire to build trade partnerships and scientific and cultural links, Carleton University has established the Canada-India Centre for Excellence in Science, Technology, Trade and Policy, in collaboration with the India High Commission and community members.
