Ranchi University Unveils Info, e-Knowledge Centre

Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda inaugurated the centre that also has an online library


Ranchi University has unveiled Information and e-Knowledge Centre for its students as a memento of its 51st foundation day celebration. Powered by high-speed internet connectivity, the Information and e-Knowledge Centre of the university boasts of 25 computers with alternative power supply back-up.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda inaugurated the three-storied building housing Information and e-Knowledge Centre at the Morhabadi campus of the university at a function in presence of Ranchi University Vice-Chancellor AA Khan and other officials.

“To begin with, the e-Knowledge centre has over 4500 journals and research papers collected from noted university from across the country and the world,” said university Pro-Vice-Chancellor VP Sharan.

The e-Knowledge centre is also inked with the online libraries of over 400 renowned colleges and university across the globe. “To facilitate exchange of academic materials, we have signed the pact with other centre of learning,” added Sharan.

More than 10,000 books and academic papers have been arranged for the students who want to pursue advance knowledge on different topics ranging from humanity and history to the modern sciences and management courses.
