21 February 2011

The programme is available through TOEFL Go Anywhere website and offers students all information related to online tools and study tips

Educational Testing Service (ETS), the creator of the TOEFL® test, announced the launch of the TOEFL Journey ™ programme, a new online platform to assist English language learners as they plan to take the TOEFL test and begin their study abroad journey. The programme is available free of charge.

Available through the TOEFL Go Anywhere website, the interactive programme offers students useful information, online tools, and study tips as they begin to explore study abroad destinations at more than 7,500 institutions around the world that accept the TOEFL test.

The TOEFL Journey program creates a personalized homepage for each student based on their expressed study abroad interests and identified stage within the planning process. The TOEFL Journey page assists students in organizing information such as their upcoming TOEFL test date and their top university selection, as well as providing access to a wide spectrum of resources ranging from helpful hints for living in a foreign country, to a comprehensive listing of student visa requirements and available scholarship opportunities.

Through the use of tailored text messages and e-mail alerts, students benefit from timely information to ease the study abroad planning experience.

"The TOEFL Journey programme is a ground-breaking tool in the field to connect students with relevant and timely information to make well-informed decisions regarding their educational aspirations," commented Xiaofei Tang, TOEFL Brand Director. "The user-friendly site navigation and engaging interface, coupled with the integration of mobile and e-mail messaging, offers students a first-class toolkit to meet their study abroad goals."
