Word Bank to fund three tech institutions of Mumbai

Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) is designed as a long term Project to be implemented in 10 to 12 years in 3 Phases


Three technical education institutes of Mumabi - Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) and Sardar Patel Engineering College have qualified for the implementation of phase two of the technical education quality improvement programme (TEQIP), funded by World Bank.
It may be mentioned here that Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) is designed as a long term Project to be implemented in 10 to 12 years in 3 Phases to support excellence and transformation in Technical Education in the country.
The total numbers of institutions covered under the Project are 127 in 13 states, out of which 18 are Centrally Funded Institutions, 58 Government Funded Colleges, 10 Government Aided Colleges, 22 Self Financing Colleges and 19 Government Funded Polytechnics.
