H Chaturvedi - Director, BIMTECH
Dr. Chaturvedi obtained a Masters Degree in Commerce and Doctorate in Business Management from Agra University, Agra. He has more than three decades experience in teaching, research and administration. As former Director in All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, a statutory body under MHRD, Government of India, he has been associated with formulation of policies, planning, regulation and control of Management Education as well as other disciplines under technical education.
While working with the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and the Board of Studies in Management of AICTE, he contributed in the application of various quality concept in Management Education on.
Dr. Chaturvedi joined Birla Institute of Management Technology, New Delhi as Director in 1999. Under his leadership, BIMTECH has launched postgraduate programmes in insurance, retailing, entrepreneurship and international business and forged linkages with 20 b’schools of USA, Canada, UK, France, Poland, Austria, Hungary and Tanzania. Because of its multifaceted growth, the institute has been consistently ranked among top 15 b’schools in the country by reputed magazines like Business Today, Outlook and The Telegraph.
Dr Chaturvedi is Editor-in-chief of four reputed refereed journals – “Business Perspective”, The Journal of Insurance & Risk Management and the Indian Retail Review. He is also member of the governing bodies of several institutions of higher learning across the country.
In 2007, Dr Chaturvedi has been conferred Honorary Professorship by the St. Stevan University of Hungary, which is a leading state-run university of the country. He is regularly invited by leading electronic channels and financial news papers to present his views on contemporary issues.
In the year, 2005, he has taken an initiative to from “Education Promotion Society of India” a national platform of eminent educationists, education service providers and edu-entrepreneurs. Dr. Chaturvedi is the Alternate President of EPSI. Member, Governing Body of Fr. Angel School. Dr Chaturvedi is also the President, of the Alumni Association of Agra University (AAAU).
Prof. R.K. Shevgaonkar - Director, IIT Delhi
Dr. R.K. Shevgaonkar received his B.E. degree with Gold Medal in Electrical engineering from Jiwaji University, M.Tech from IIT, Kanpur and PhD from IIT, Bombay. He was a Scientist at Indian Institute of Astrophysics and Raman Research Institute. After doing his Post Doctoral fellowship at University of Maryland, USA, he joined IIT, Bombay. He has occupied various positions at IIT, Bombay like Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dean, Resource Mobilization, Head, Department of Electrical Engineering, Head, Centre for Distance Engineering Education Programme, and Deputy Director. He was the Vice Chancellor of University of Pune and presently he is the Director of IIT Delhi. He has been a Visiting Professor at University of Lincoln, USA, and ETH, Zurich, Switzerland, and ISEP Paris, France.
Dr. Shevgaonkar has been an active researcher in the area of Optical communication, Image processing, Antennas, Microwaves, Radio astronomy etc. He has published more than 150 papers in international journals and conferences, and two books namely Electromagnetic Waves and Transmission lines for Electrical Engineers. He has guided 18 PhDs and more than 30 M.Tech. dissertations. His video and web lectures on Electromagnetics and Fiber optic communication are used worldwide through Youtube.
Dr. Shevgaonkar is recipient of IEEE Undergraduate Teaching award 2011, IETE award for his outstanding contribution to Optical communication, and the ‘Excellence in Teaching’ award of IIT, Bombay. He is Fellow of IEEE, Fellow of Indian National Academy of Engineering, Fellow of National Academy of Science, India, Fellow of Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, Fellow of Optical Society of India, and Member of International Astronomical Union and Astronomical Society of India. He has been a member of many international and national research and educational committees.
R.S. Grewal - Vice Chancellor, Chitkara University
Brig (Dr.) RS Grewal joined the National Defence Academy in 1963 and was commissioned in to the Corps of Engineers of the Indian Army in 1967. After retiring from the Army in 2002 he joined the Manipal Group. His more than 44 years of service includes proven track record of managing training institutions both in the Army and in the Universities. He has been the Director of Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology. Later he was the Pro Vice Chancellor of Sikkim Manipal University and also the first Director of ICICI Manipal Academy. Whilst in the Army, he was head of a 5500 strong technical training establishment and was also Head, Faculty of Civil Engineering at the College of Military Engineering, Pune.
He was a member of faculty at the prestigious Defence Services Staff College, Wellington. His main forte has been perspective planning, policy formulation and implementation, industry-academia collaboration, developing inter-institutional tie ups including those with foreign universities, faculty development, improvement in academic delivery and student relations. He possesses a good blend of experience in academia and also in executing high value projects. Apart from holding prestigious appointments in the Army, Brig Grewal has been Chief Engineer in the Border Roads Organisation in Eastern India in a terrain that is considered a logisticians nightmare.
His services were recognized by the President of India by the award of coveted Vishisht Sewa Medal.
He has attended the prestigious national strategy course at National Defence College, New Delhi. The course deals with macro level issues pertaining to strategy at national level encompassing international relations, socio economic, geopolitical, science and technology, and national economy related aspects.
A prolific writer, he has contributed articles on topics related to national security, socio economic issues and on human resource development to reputed journals.
He has been the treasurer of Equestrian Federation of India and has a flair for languages and can read, write and speak Tamil and has studied Burmese.
He hails from a traditional Army family and is a fourth-generation army officer.

K.R. Srivathsan - Senior Professor, The Indus World School of Business and ex Pro VC, IGNOU
Prof. K.R. Srivathsan is Senior Professor at the Indus World School of Business in Delhi. Earlier he served as the Pro Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi National Open University, or, IGNOU as it is well known. During 2001-2008 he was the first Director of the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management – Kerala (IIITM-K). Before that he was Professor and Head of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
Over the last three decades Prof. Srivathsan has been closely associated with India's developments in bringing and spreading Internet, Information Technology, and their applications to a wide range of socioeconomically relevant and technologically advanced areas.
At IGNOU he architected and guided building a next generation framework of open e-Learning system for the universities. This 'Open Distributed Technology Enhanced Learning', or ODTEL is now called the 'Vedyadhara Open Education Framework', or, VOEF. He is now working to show that with VOEF suitably adopted we will be able to establish 'Community Knowledge Enterprises' in sectors like Health, Education, Agriculture, Rural Development and Tourism & Culture (the HEART areas) in every region.
He is a core member of the Programme Implementation Committee of the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL). Earlier, from 2001-2008, Prof. Srivathsan as the first Director of IIITM-K in Trivandrum, he inspired and guided the development of the Education Grid, KISSAN-Kerala, e-Krishi, Virtual University for Agricultural Trade, the Krishideepam TV Serial in Agriculture, the Computational Chemistry Portal, the Trivandrum City Police Portal for Community Interactions, Open GIS developments and promoted FOSS based solutions and entrepreneurship developments.
Before 2001 Prof. Srivathsan's was Professor and Head of Electrical Engineering Department at IIT Kanpur. There, he coordinated and steered several programs and initiatives like the ERNET, Telematics and several technology development programs in different areas. He holds a Ph.D. from Queen's University - Canada, M.Tech from IIT Kanpur and a B.E. From REC (now NIT) Durgapur - all in Electrical Engineering.
He is a renowned educationist and well known in developing community driven systems of technology enhanced quality education. These lead to a whole new world of 'Technology Enhanced Learning and Collaborative Education Management'. He is currently working on how we make education as engine of development through systems of ICT in a holistic framework for the areas of Health, Education, Agriculture, Rural Development and Tourism & Culture.

Lokesh Mehra is the Director- Education Advocacy at Microsoft Corporation India and is responsible for managing strategic relationships with MHRD and Institutional Bodies, Policy led engagements and Skill development initiatives.
Prior to Microsoft Lokesh, worked as the Regional Manager - Corporate Responsibility for the South Asia Region at Cisco and was spearheading and driving Cisco's education charter in both the philanthropic and commercial markets.
