TN to set up Medical Recruitment Board soon

Tamil Nadu Medical Services Recruitment Board (TNMSRB) for the recruitment of doctors and para medical staff in various government hospitals of the state.

Tamil Nadu government has decided to constitute Tamil Nadu Medical Services Recruitment Board (TNMSRB) for the recruitment of doctors and para medical staff in various government hospitals of the state.
According to government plan, the newly constituted board will be headed by an IAS officer of Additional Secretary cadre (in the Health and Family Welfare department). A senior department official informed that TNMSRB will make all the recruitments through employment exchange.
According to reports, there are about 15,600 vacancies of doctors, nurses and administrative staff in the department. An official said, "The Board is first of its type in the entire country. Those who would be appointed through it will be mandated to serve in that particular post for a minimum period of three years.
