A 21 day DST Sponsored Training Programme on Geospatial Technologies (GST) has been organised by the Department of Geography & Regional Development, University of Kashmir. The programme will be conducted at KU and focus on the use and application of Geo-Spatial Technology among Geographers, Scientists and Researchers.
This will enable the advancements in space technology to be applied to uses for the common man. Faculty members and research scholars from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, Bhartidasan University, Tamil Nadu, Mysore University, Karnataka, Pondicherry University, NIT, Srinagar, SKUAST Kashmir among others are participating.
Dr Y.V.N. Krishna Murthy Director, Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Department of Space, spoke about the advantages of Geospatial Technology and disseminating knowledge about it through e-learning.
