The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has signed an agreement with Samsung Electronics and will set up the MSME-Samsung Technical School. The goal is to establish ten such schools for conducting joint training programmes where students will get trade-specific training. They will be trained on how to repair and troubleshoot consumer electronics products like mobile phones, home theatres, televisions among others. The institute will also impart soft skill training for good customer service. Samsung will also source parts and components for their products from Indian industries to promote ‘Make in India’.
