Four smart classrooms will be installed in the Science and Arts faculty while two each will go to the Commerce and Law faculty
The Allahabad University will be launching smart classrooms in all the four faculties with state-of-art digital white boards. They will introduce 20 such high-tech classrooms and will also create a facility of Lecture theatre complex.
Eight of the 'smart' classrooms would be in the lecture halls of the lecture theatre complex and the rest in four faculties. Four of these smart classrooms will be installed in the Science and Arts faculty while two each will go to the Commerce and Law faculty. AU authorities are estimating that the entire project will cost around Rs 2.5 crore. Prof JA Ansari of the JK Institute stated to the media "These classrooms will have smart boards which would act as touch-sensitive screen, mouse and keyboard at the same time. The teacher will use digital podium connected to the board and the LCD projector".
